During his career, Mr. Sammut has been a Venture Partner at Burrill & Company. Earlier in his career he was Vice President, SR One, and Vice President for Corporate Development at Teleflex Incorporated where he led the corporate private equity fund and was responsible for M&A activity. He also served as Managing Director, Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as co-founder and CEO of the transplant organ bank in Philadelphia. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Villanova University, holds an MBA from the Wharton School and is a DBA Candidate at the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
Dr. Sivarajan Chettiar

Sivarajan completed his bachelors and masters in Microbiology and later on, using the CSIR fellowship completed his PhD from NCCS. His Phd topic was on Neural/Cancer stem cells and studying the signaling pathways in brain cancer progression. After completing his Phd he pursued his post doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution, Department of Radiation Oncology where is was working on projects studying transgenic mice models of lung, prostate and liver cancer and role of EMT in cancer progression. Other projects involved studies on radio sensitizers and radio protectans as compliments in radiation therapy.
Sivarajan also worked as a research associate at Indian Institute of Science, Department of Biochemistry. At Pandorum Technologies Sivarajan is a Senior Scientist working on the liver project
Dr. Abdullah Chand

Earlier, she worked in JNCASR (Bangalore), wherein we involved in design and development of artificial retinal prosthesis using optoelectronic polymer device. Her master’s research was about the development of protein nano-carrier for enzyme based cancer therapy.

Sushrut’s work focuses on 3D cell culture systems and making liver organoids derived from various sources like, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), liver cell lines and primary hepatocytes. He was working in inStem-NCBS (Bangalore) for four years as a Junior Research Fellow on different projects, such as, in vitro disease modelling using patient iPSC-derived hepatocytes for liver-stage malaria, and hESC/ iPSC derived neurons for Kleefstra syndrome. He was also working on the development of a diagnostic biomarker for early stage pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Tanmay Gharat

Tanmay is a tissue engineering and biomaterials Research Scientist at Pandorum. He formerly worked as a Scientist at 3DBio Holdings LLC in Ithaca, NY and as Method Validation Scientist at Emilia Resources LLC in Mississippi in the USA. Prior to this, Tanmay pursued his PhD, on developing stem cell-based scaffolds for orthopedic applications. He was awarded the Howard P. Isermann Fellowship in 2011 at RPI.
